Come and visit the most important observation points and discover the wonders of Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, considered one of the richest places on the continent for bird watching.

With one hour longer than the Wetlands Boat Tour, you can go slowly, giving you more time to find the best spots for pictures and observation, basically focusing in general wildlife, Birdwhatching and Photography.

This wetland has more than 350 species of birds such as; the Nicaraguan Grackle (Quiscalus Nicaraguensis), endemic to Nicaragua and whose only bird population in Costa Rica is located in Caño Negro.  Also, the Northern Jacana, The Neotropical Cormorant (with the largest colony in the country), the Great Blue Heron and Anhinga, Roseate Spoonbill, White Ibis, Green Ibis, Glossy Ibis, Wood Storks, the Black-bellied Whistling Duck, the Jabiru Venture (endangered) and many more.
